League Games

A result card must be posted on Facebook or emailed no later than 24 hours following your league match. Failure will result in points being deducted. All divisions play 15 games per league match.

For information on filling in results cards see below

Matches should start at 8pm. If a team has not turned up by 8.15pm the first game can be claimed. A further game can be claimed for every 15 minutes that the team is late. Please use commonsense when applying this rule as the committee may over-rule any claims made.

The Away team breaks in the first game with the break alternating thereafter.

You cannot play more than once in each group of 5 games You cannot play the same opponent more than once

If you only have 4 players the BYE's are ALWAYS put in frames 5, 10 & 15 If you only have 3 players the BYE's are ALWAYS put in frames 4, 5, 9, 10, 14,15

Transfer of Players

If a player wishes to transfer from a team they have already signed for to another team, they need to get both team captains to send a letter/email requesting this to the League Secretary.

The Secretary will advise the teams that the transfer is accepted.

The player transferring may not play in the Knockout Cup games for the new team.

Signing of New Players

Teams may sign on new players at any time during the season.

You do not need to request the addition of a new player (unless it is a transfer), but please indicate on the result card when a new player is added. Once a team has more than 12 players ranking points will not be allotted to the additional players.

Dismissal of Teams

If a team does not turn up to 3 matches without very good reason they risk being dismissed from the league for the rest of the season and declined admission for future seasons.

Competitions

Only players entered on the competition registration form will be put into the draw for competitions (except; captains and secretaries and champion of champions)

Only if a "bye" exists in a competition can players be added after the draw is done. This is at the discretion of the league committee.

Any players wishing to be added after the draw must contact the secretary.

Doubles, Mixed Doubles Competition

Substitutions to one player can only be made in the very first round.

Once a player is substituted the original player cannot participate in future rounds.

All changes must be advised to the secretary before the competition starts.

Captain and Secretaries Competition

Only the captain and secretary nominated on the team registration form can enter the Captains and Secretaries competition. Absolutely no substitutions!

If your captain or secretary changes within a season please make sure that the league secretary knows in good time.

Late changes to either position may result in failure to be entered into these competitions. The committee's decision is final.

Returning of Results Cards

Cards must be fully completed and signed by all the players. The home team Captain will be responsible for filling out the result card and posting it on Facebook. The away team must also take a photo of the card which they will need to keep until the result has been confirmed.

Card photos must be posted on Facebook within 24 hours after the league match. If you do not have access to Facebook please email the card photo to the Secretary.

If a card is not uploaded on time, 2 points will be deducted.

Both captains are to fill in the number of games each player has won and lost against the player's name where it first appears on the card. Failure will result in points being deducted and ranking points will not be allocated. Please make sure cards contain the player's full name clearly printed (nicknames are not accepted). Make sure these are filled in correctly.

Any names that are not legible will not be awarded ranking points.

The photo must show the complete form and be in focus. Card example below.

Notes: You cannot play more than once in each group of 5 games You cannot play the same opponent more than once Away team breaks first, then alternately.

No Show or Cancellation of Match

Any team that needs to cancel a game must do so in good time.

The cancelling team captain is responsible for letting the opposing team captain know the game will be cancelled.

The team making the cancellation also needs to let the league secretary know.

A cancelled match can only be re-arranged providing it is played before the next scheduled league match.

If the next scheduled league match is the following week you have 6 days in which to rearange it.

If your next scheduled league match is later because of christmas or competition weeks, etc. then you are lucky to have extra time. But the match must be played before the next scheduled league match.

If the opposing team is unable to make an alternative date before the next scheduled league match they will be awarded the match.

Failure to play a match will result in the opposing team being awarded a 10-0

In the event that a match is cancelled or a team does not turn up, the team that was available to play must return a results card listing the names of their players that were available to play.

The players listed will be awarded their individual win(s) and average ranking points. See example results card below

Teams Short of Players "BYES"

A team can play with a minimum of 3 players. The vacant players are filled with a BYE.

Do not put player's names in when they are not present as this will falsify the rankings. Teams and Players will be penalized if found doing this.

If a team turns up short of players a "BYE" is put in where no player exists.

Any player that plays a BYE will be awarded average ranking points but no individual win.

It is very important if you are trying to obtain either the most wins or a high ranking position that you do not play a BYE.

If you only have 4 players the BYE's are ALWAYS put in frames 5, 10 & 15 If you only have 3 players the BYE's are ALWAYS put in frames 4, 5, 9, 10, 14,15

Knockout Cup

In these best of 15 matches, where they are only played until one team has won 8 frames. However, all 15 places must be filled in if players want average ranking points for the frames not played.

As shown in the card below, the last 6 players on each team did not get to play but will be awarded average ranking points provided they are filled in on the card

If you only have 4 players the BYE's are ALWAYS put in frames 5, 10 & 15 If you only have 3 players the BYE's are ALWAYS put in frames 4, 5, 9, 10, 14,15

You do not collect the point won from a bye until it needs to be played. i.e. If a team turns up with 4 players the opposing teams does not start the match 3 nil up.

Notes:
The draw is done blind
You can only play once in each set of 5 games
Since the draw is blind you could play the same player two or three times.
Toss a coin for the first break, and then it alternates.
